We explain how to remove stains from bamboo bedding using natural products without any harsh chemicals that can damage the fabric. This way your bedhseets will look brand new and will last longer.
Is important you wash the bedding right after it stains. Surprinsingly the white bamboo fabric has higher resistance to stains because the dye in the coloured bedsheets absorbs more the stains.
Bamboo fibers are natural and we have plenty of natural options to remove the persistent stains.
1. For majority of general stains like coffee or pet stains, use white vinegar. Mix one part vinegar for every 4 parts of water. Leave the stain to soak between 30 minutes and 2 hours.
2. Lemon juice on the stain directly can also help. Leave it for about 30 minutes before washing.
3. For oily or make-up stains your liquid dishwasher is a great ally because is a degreaser. Put a bit of the detergent on the stain and leave it for at least 30 minutes.
4. For grass or red wine stains the best is baking soda. Mix it with a bit of water to create a paste, pour it on the stain and leave it for maximum 20 minutes.
You can then machine wash as usual at 30o, delicate cycle. Do not wash with hot water since will not get better results and can cause your bedding to shrink or lose its properties.
